Shashikala Singh holds an M.V.A. in Graphics and an M.Phil. in Painting from Lalit Kala Sansthan, Dr. B.R. Ambedkar University, Agra. Her work demonstrates a deep understanding of printmaking techniques, seamlessly balancing traditional methods with contemporary sensibilities. This mastery is evident in her artistic practice, which reflects a keen engagement with technique and composition, often delving into intricate details and textural depth. She has been recognized with several prestigious accolades, including the Junior Fellowship (2018–2019) by the Ministry of Culture, Government of India, in the field of Visual Art (Printmaking) and the National Scholarship from the Ministry of Culture in 2007. In addition, she has received awards such as the All India Award by Art Mall, the All India Art Exhibition award, the State Award by Lalit Kala Academy, U.P., a Merit Certificate by the All India Women’s Council, the Painting Competition Award by U.P. Scout & Guide, and the All India Women Manch Award. Ms. Singh has participated in numerous national and all-India exhibitions, showcasing her work at renowned platforms such as Lalit Kala Akademi (New Delhi), Art Mall Exhibition (New Delhi), 4th Annual India Royal Academy (Karnataka), All India Art Exhibition Lokmanya Tilak (Pune), Annual Art Exhibitions by Lalit Kala Akademi in Lucknow and Agra, Regional Art Exhibitions at Sur Sadan (Agra), the Regional Exhibition by Lalit Kala Sansthan (Lucknow), and the South Central Zone Cultural Centre (Nagpur). She has also attended several significant art workshops, including the National Artist Camp – Ayodhya organized by the State Lalit Kala Akademi, Lucknow, the National Painting Workshop (Kala Rang-Kala Sang), Jnanan Pravaha Workshop (Varanasi), Art Mall Workshop (New Delhi), National Artist Workshop by Spirit of India – the World’s Biggest Fine Arts Workshop (Maharashtra), National Artist Workshop by Praranabhya Mumbai (Shimla), International Artist Workshop by Kala Varta Nyas (Ujjain), and the All India Printmaking Workshop (Jaipur). Beyond her artistic contributions, Ms. Singh has served as a jury member for various university – level art competitions at Bareilly University and other institutions. She has also held academic and administrative positions, including Principal & Coordinator at Vanita Polytechnic, Varanasi, Lecturer at the Institute of Fine Arts, Varanasi, and Guest Lecturer in Graphics at Lalit Kala Sansthan, Dr. B.R. Ambedkar University, Agra.
