About the Founder & Director
Vijay Prabhat Shukla is the founder and director of Aryavart Art Gallery, and a passionate art connoisseur whose journey into the world of art has been both personal and transformative. Lawyer by profession, Vijay’s deep-rooted admiration for art led him to shift his focus from the legal profession to the world of Indian art. Over the years, his love for art grew into a dedicated pursuit, eventually culminating in the creation of the gallery.
As a collector of rare and distinguished works from eminent Indian artists, Vijay’s mission has always been to preserve and celebrate the artistic heritage of India, while also delving into the lesser-known aspects of art history. One of his most significant contributions has been the publication of The Unseen Life of Ramkinkar Baij, a book that sheds new light on the life and works of the legendary artist. Through meticulous research and archival discovery, Vijay brings to the forefront previously unpublished insights, offering a deeper understanding of Baij’s extraordinary journey and creative process.
